These terms apply to the Causeway Atlas website and newsletter, run by Aerys Solution, Groningen, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 96237422). By using them you agree to these terms.
What we offer
Causeway Atlas publishes educational videos, maps and articles about history and geography. Our content explains and interprets the past; it is not professional, legal, financial or travel advice.
Accuracy and corrections
We check every figure against its sources and list those sources with each video. If you find an error, tell us at hello@causewayatlas.com. Confirmed corrections are published in a pinned comment on the video and noted on the video's page here.
YouTube
Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Watching them, and any feature of ours that uses YouTube API Services, is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service; by using those features you agree to be bound by them.
Our content and yours
- Videos, scripts, maps and illustrations are ours unless stated otherwise. You may share links and quote short parts with credit to Causeway Atlas. Republishing or selling our maps or videos needs our written permission.
- Some maps use data from © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) or Natural Earth, and some images are public-domain works from museums and archives. Those sources are credited where used and keep their own terms.
- Some illustrations are made with the help of AI tools and then edited and composed by us.
Links to other sites
We link to sources and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Liability
We make the website available as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage from using it or from relying on its content.
Law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
